Day 1 Khustai Nuruu National park and Elsen Tasarkhai
We’ll drive to the Hustai National Park, located on the north side of the Tuul River, about a two-hour drive west of Ulaanbaatar. Although located in the central grasslands, Khustai means “with birch” because birch trees and aspen groves are plentiful in the area. It is a hilly terrain, with the Tuul River forming the southern boundary. The national park was originally set up in 1993 as a nature reserve for the first reintroduction of the Przewalski’s Horse (Equus przewalskii) into Mongolia. Today the Hustai Trust runs the park, funded mainly by tourism funds. After lunch We’ll to drive to Mount Khogno Khan Nature Reserve in the afternoon. The mountain is home to hundreds of birds, deer, and gazelle. You’ll be able to ride a camel and go hiking around the area or to the small sand dunes nearby called ” Elsen tasarkhai”.
Day 2 Kharkhorin and Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur
We’ll drive to Mongolian ancient capital, Kharkhorin, Chinggis Khaan's fabled city, founded in 1220 in the Orkhon Valley, at the crossroads of the Silk Road. It was from there that the Mongol Empire was governed until Kubilai Khan moved it to Beijing. It served as the capital for 40 years. Following the move, and the subsequent collapse of the Mongolian empire, Karakorum was abandoned. Whatever was left was used to help build the glorious Erdene Zuu monastery in the 16th century. Nearby, Turkish monuments and rock inscriptions erected in the 8-9th centuries in memory of outstanding fighters for independence. After lunch, We’ll drive to Great White Lake and Khorgo Volcano. Khorgo-Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National park was established to protect the spectacular mountain scenery and endangered species of fauna and flora. The area has extinct volcanoes, many beautiful lakes, a great number of animals and birds, and is definitely one of the best natural tourist attractions. Khorgo is a unique natural complex (2240 m)National Park surrounded by the Khangai Mountains, which is 3000 meters above sea level. In the craters some of them are very tiny crystal- cleared lakes. The Khorgo crater, situated at an altitude of 2.210 meters with a diameter of 20 meters and depth of 70 to 80 meters, is the most stunning.
Day 3 Oigon Nuur
Oygon Nuur is a lake and is located in Zavkhan, Mongolia. The estimated terrain elevation above sea level is 1666 metres. We will go camping in the lake.
Day 4 Khyrgas Lake
We’ll drive to the west heading to Khyargas lake, a chain of lakes, wetlands, sand dunes and high mountains. Arrive at Khyargas lake – 2nd largest salt lake of Mongolia. The lake has abundant fish and it is a nice stop for birdwatching
Day 5 Bayan- Ulgii province
We’ll drive to Bayan-Ulgii province. Bayan-Ulgii is the biggest town in Western Mongolia. Unlike other provinces its population is dominated by Turkic Kazakhs, which have their own language, customs and Muslim religion. On the way visit Kazakh family, living in slightly larger and colorful gers. They train eagles, falcons, hawks to collect marmots, small foxes and wolves and return to the ger, where the Kazakhs use them for food. We’ll stay in a hotel.
Day 6 Kazakh Family (Eagle Hunters)
We’ll drive to a Kazakh family(Eagle Hunters). We will explore kazakh families lifestyle (Eagle hunters)
Day 7 Kazakh Family (Eagle Hunters)
We will stay in Kazakh family. We will explore kazakh families lifestyle (Eagle hunters)
Day 8 Altai Tavan Bogd
We are entering Altai high mountain area. We are traveling at the altitude of 2500-3000 m. You will visit local kazakh family to explore their life style and get perpared for our trekking.
Day 9 Altai Tavan Bogd
Start our trekking towards Potanin Glacier and The Tavan Bogd (means Holy Five Peaks) highest peaks in Mongolia – Khuiten Uul- 4374m, Peak Malchin, Peak Naran, Peak Burged and Peak Ulgii. Meaning the 5 Kings it comprises five neighboring peaks. While trekking we will cross glaciers which connect those five peaks.
Day 10 Bayan-Ulgii province
We’ll drive to Bayan-Ulgii province. Bayan-Ulgii is the biggest town in Western Mongolia. Day 11 Golden Eagle festival
The Golden Eagle Festival or Eagle Festival is an annual traditional festival held in Bayan-Ölgii aimag, Mongolia. In the eagle festival, Kazakh eagle hunters celebrate their heritage and compete to catch small animals such as foxes and hares with specially trained golden eagles, showing off the skills of both the birds and their trainers. Prizes are awarded for speed, agility and accuracy, as well as for the best traditional Kazakh dress, and more.

Day 13 Gobi altai province
We will go back to Ulaanbaatar.
Day 14 uvurkhangai
We will go back to Ulaanbaatar.
Day 15 Ulaanbaatar
We will go back to Ulaanbaatar.
Day 16 City tour
After breakfast, We will visit a Shaman family. After lunch at a local restaurant in the city centre, we will visit Gandan Monastery and Bogd Khan winter palace. After our tour, we will watch the concert of the Tumen Ekh ensemble, one of Mongolia's leading traditional performance groups. After the concert, we will have dinner at a local restaurant ( Mongolian Hot pot) and then check into our hotel where we will stay.

PLEASE NOTE:

The difference between a comfortable tour and budget tour relates primarily to the accommodation type. Within a budget tour all accommodation will be with a nomadic family in their Ger. While a comfortable tour includes accommodation at Ger camps which are similar to a 3-4 star hotel standard. Finally the Mid-Range tour mixes Comfortable and Budget, where you will stay some nights in the traditional Ger with a nomadic family and others in a Ger camp.
