Tradition of Mongolia has been heavily influenced by the Mongol nomadic way of life. Every Mongolian, no matter how long he or she has lived in a city, is a nomad at heart. There are other influences from Tibet and Tibetan Buddhism, from China, Russia. After the communist regime collapsed Western cultures have had a strong effect on Mongolian culture.
